This expansion follows a significant increase in customer requirements from both existing and new clients in the region. The new facility features an 8,000 ft² indoor workshop and training centre, complemented by a 20,000 ft² outdoor operational and storage compound, customised to support UPA’s commitment to service excellence.
The Shildon depot launches with an initial fleet of over 100 brand-new machines, sourced from leading manufacturers including Skyjack, LGMG, Niftylift, Manitou, PopUp, and Fuel Proof. This investment positions UPA to deliver enhanced service levels, rapid response times, and high-quality equipment to customers throughout the North East, along with a wide variety of training from a new indoor training area.
To support operations at the new site, UPA has expanded its team with the addition of a service engineer, trailer driver, yard operative, sales representative, and hire controller, ensuring a seamless customer experience from enquiry to delivery.
